South India has one of India’s most visited pilgrimage sports such as Balaji Temple at Tirupati in Andhra Pradesh, Buddhist site of Nagarjunakonda, and the wonderful Islamic buildings of the Qutub Shahi and Asaf Jahi dynasties at Golconda Fort and Hyderabad reside here. In the neighbouring state of Karnataka lie the stone-carved temples of Belur and Halebid. Relive the exciting era of the Hoysalas, who flourished around the 12th century, by examining the endless stories which the sculptural detail portrays the war, the hunt, the animals, the dancing girls and, of course the gods. Karnataka is a coastal belt rich with natural beauty and Hindu traditions. It houses forests such as Bandipur and Nagarhole.   

The most famous hill station is Coorg, where aromatic spices and coffee plantations entice tourists immensely. On the other side, Bengaluru-the IT hub of the state boasts of a perfect mix of software and sarees, bars and bookshops, tradition and modernity and everything.  

You can also get to hear the legendary sangrams between poets and writers that exist here almost 2000 years ago. Tamil Nadu charms you with its Carnatic music and its age-old traditions. Across the years, it boasts of cosmopolitan glamour with modern restaurants and expensive nightclubs, the temples, museums and other monuments of the city are worth touring.
